The Menuhin Festival Amateur Orchestra opens an exciting new chapter – under the inspiring direction of Holly Hyun Choe. As a former Conducting Academy student and newly appointed Chief Conductor of both the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and the Orchestre national de Cannes, she brings fresh vision and artistic spark to our remarkable ensemble. The values that have always defined this extraordinary orchestra will continue to be the same: an intense, energising rehearsal week marked by precision and guided by seasoned principal players – all in pursuit of the great masterworks of the repertoire. The highlight of the week is the final concert in the legendary Gstaad Festival Tent, where passion, dedication, and musical excellence blend into an experience you’ll never forget.
