Since founding his ensemble “Between Worlds” in 2014, the acclaimed mandolin virtuoso Avi Avital has been on a mission to dissolve the barriers between cultures, musical styles and perspectives, creating connections that foster understanding, dialogue and unity. His vision, more relevant than ever, unfolds in the rich sounds of Southern Italy: from Naples, the mandolin’s birthplace, to the sun-soaked landscapes of Apulia, where golden earth meets the turquoise sea. Here, life pulses to the rhythm of the Tarantella and voices like Alessia Tondo’s seem to echo the very soul of the region.
